![]() Thanks for your help! I’ve been so confused, but hopefully this will help me understand better. ![]() Does that include the 32 or is that for the 40? Basically, the biggest thing is: will the 40 charge the Volt faster and if so, how much faster? I know that I read a level 2 charger will charge the Volt fully in approximately 4.5 hours. I don’t care about the future, because if for some reason I go full electric down the road, I will probably upgrade the charger even further to accommodate that vehicle. To be clear: this charger will be used for my Volt only. I’ve heard multiple things and I am confused as hell. I’ve decided I definitely want the Juicebox Pro, but cannot decide on whether I should get the 32 or the 40. If your EVSE is a plug-in (but stationary), then there is less worry about overheated plugs. A 50 Amp circuit gives you some degree of 'future-proofing' because that capacity exceeds what the Clarity will use. JuiceBox has a load-sharing feature if I get a second JuiceBox, they can time-share the single 50-amp circuit. Lots of flexibility to move the JuiceBox between 14-50 sockets, or use the mobile charger on the off chance the JuiceBox has an issue. Since my work commute is 80 miles round trip, I’ll definitely be charging daily. To me, the advantage of a plug-in EVSE is that it makes it easier for the user to repair / replace / upgrade. So I wired two 14-50 sockets and purchased a JuiceBox 40 Plug-in. ![]() The biggest question I have is about upgrading to a Level 2 Charger. I’m assuming that it won’t matter which one I get but I wanted to ask the community before I pull the trigger. Hey all! After lurking in this sub for the last several months, I finally purchased a 2017 Volt Premier and I am seriously in love.
